Any idea how to connect Vx3 receiver to fsesc 75350 which has only one uart port that is occupied by the the Bluetooth module . I can probably use the comm port but then I have to modify somehow one of the cables that came with the vx3 and I’m afraid I may destroy the controller if I make a mistake in my cable modification. I’m sure somebody have been on this path before me. Thank you in advance

I do not have an answer but will soon face the same issue so if you find out, let us know how you did it!

There should be a cable in your VX3 package that you can use.

Look at wiring diagram for VX3 and same for Comm port of vesc.

The vesc end of cable will have a connector that fits the comm port. It should have 4 wires that supply the TX, RX, GRD and power the receiver needs. Configure VESC for UART control of remote

This is already taken by the Bluetooth module and as far as i know just connecting additional wires to it for the receiver will not work. You showed a simple connection between RX and VESC - which is fine but we need to connect bluetooth module on it as well somehow

There are 2 different rx/tx pairs on the vesc labelled 4 and 6 on the diagram… Mine is all taped up but I have the bt and receiver working as you need. You just need to find the correct cable in the supplied packet. I thnk there are little manuals with he info included.

Well I was just answering @Trikefloats question as he said his Bluetooth was already connected 🤨

The Bluetooth and remote receiver both require a TX and RX pair plus GRD and power. The Flipsky receiver diagram shows it requires 5V and I think the Bluetooth module would work at either 3.3 or 5V

I don’t use the Flipsky 75300 but assuming you are and that you are using Flipsky Bluetooth you have two ports on the VESC that have those capabilities ports 5 and 6 in the diagram.

As @windego says just find the correct cable and connect them up.

Thank you for the picture. It looks like it’s going to work. Not tested it yet but everything fits. I’m still building the battery pack. Thanks again
