BRM parawing 2025 alternatives : Born-kites, Gong, Ensis, (...)

What size and what wind speeds are you using it in the most?

I’m using the 4m the most. 5m just feels too big IMO. The 3m is lovely. I need around 15 knots to get going on the 4m with a DW board and a big foil.

Would you sell 5m² and which one you have?

I have the gong lowkite in 3m, 4m and 5m. I’m not selling any as yet. I want to master the basics with these and then switch in a while once the newer versions have come out. The development and improvements seem to be happening pretty quickly.

Pansh and I have a very different view on the term “coming soon”. It’s been advertised like that for around 8 months. Last email I had said it would be released mid September but that has been and gone. Any further info on a release date?

Did they give you a shipping date or better still, a delivery date ?

Heard 90 days :melting_face::face_with_peeking_eye:

Will update about what info I get from french discord group. With group buy, you can get it for around 150€ per wing :yum:

Will receive the 4sqm friday, let you know about it.
Also ordered a 2.5 in the french group buy (>100 pw ordered in this group)

Here are my first thoughts about the 4m after two sessions (both light wind):

  • Paid 330€ plus 17€ tax, 4sqm non-pro.
  • The finish is very “raw,” especially the lines and bar.

Out on the water:

  • Pumps super well.
  • When it flies, I get on foil (1600cm2 foil and 100lt, 66kg), around 10-12kt. 12-14kt would be a realistic low range for this setup.
  • It seems to have a much better upwind angle than Gong Plus V1; it has a bigger margin between flying and getting over sheeted.
  • gets very heavy when wet, on the standard and not pro fabric
