I designed a quick adapter to try using a surf foil for tow-in.
The Cbar should bring the tow point closer to the prop axis, while also helping keep the board pressed down on the water.
I did a quick test yesterday, and it looks pretty promising.
The Velcro holding the cables came loose though, and the prop ended up cutting through them.
Overall, I think the concept has potential. Adding a small rudder could also be an option to improve stability/control.
The goal is to build a lightweight mini-tow unit around 10 kg, but as powerful as possible.
Curious if anyone here has already experimented with a similar setup?
