What motors do people use for a direct drive setup?  
Kv?  
Size?  
Max RPM?  
How much did it cost?

Is there an alternative for the 65161 motors?

a good and cheap alternative is the APS 63100 but you must make some changes to protect him for the water.  
look around in this forum, you see a lot how to dos abput it…
