@Jsonnett if you have some pictures of the BMS used on the FD battery, that would be great. I cant seem to find a BMS that would fit in such a small sized volume…
They don’t use a small BMS. Its the way they run the cells (18 on bottom row, 15 on top row) that allows them to use a normal size BMS similar to the Daly.

The JBD smart BMS fits in the space very nicely or just put a balance port on the battery or use the space the BMS takes to make a 12s3p and print a new nose cone.
Can the FD esc handle 12S?
Its rated at 12s but its up to you if you want to risk it on your own unit, ill run a few tests and report back. The anti spark doesn’t function so well hence why i have put XT90S on my unit i only need 40amps from the battery to get on foil.
You will need to self manage the battery cut off voltages currently FD set 34.00v and 31.05v for cutoff start and cutoff end you can change the number of cells in the remote to 12s but you will need to keep an eye on the voltage and stop at 37.09v.
