Diy wing foil Board

That should get one the foil very quickly… lot of surface on the bottom (maximized by your straight rails), no quick change in rocker (as long as the first 10-15cm stay out of the water) and no big radius rounded corners, sharper corners release water better, too rounded tend to stick.
I’d just be concerned by the completely straight rails seen from above… does that let you taxy upwind?

@Mat: couldn’t try it out yet as I’m waiting for the delivery of a Takoon Wing (July 2021).

Hi there, got the idea from all of you guys !

Indeed @Mat 's project is the opposite of mine in regard of time and money. I spent 2 week ends and 150$
I admire the precision and patience of mat’s. His project is overkill, well done!

Do you have pictures of it ? I think a hot wire cutting method can seal the cells even better and give a better board aspect as well.

Yeah, everything is there https://imgur.com/a/zJWfBIi

A trully minimalist board !

For all those who like to build themselves and want to save time-consuming and dirty grinding of the styrofoam core. I am selling a CNC milled EPS core for a 100 liter wingboard. (270€)

Length: 170cm
Width: 70cm
Thickness: 12.5 cm
Weight: about 1.6kg
EPS density: approx. 15kg/m³
Cut-out for foil box: 390x190x35mm (but can also be made without)

Shipping in EU possible because the EPS core consists of 4 parts which are then glued together on site.
