# Flipsky ESC75100 Pro V2.0 firmware update via USB fails — VX5 remote not working

Hi all,

I have a FSESC75100 Pro V2.0 with a VX5 remote. The VX5 does not work via PPM and needs UART. However when I try to update the firmware via VESC Tool 7.00 and USB, the connection drops immediately after connecting — “No firmware read response”.

The ESC connects briefly (I can see “Connected serial to cu.URT0”) but then loses connection before I can flash firmware.

Has anyone managed to update firmware on the FSESC75100 Pro V2.0? Any tips on how to keep the connection stable long enough to flash?
