HGLTECH 100Kv Test and Comparison

Similar to my printed two blade, even higher pitch. I do not have the metr link

It would be interesting to see the log and prop for this rideā€¦

guess what propeller it has been:

Iā€™d imagine the blue 2 blade on the left. What pitch is it?
Iā€™d guess 9"ā€¦

Itā€™s the one in the middle. I donā€™t know the pitch of the hexacopter right now.

Based on your RPM of guess about 9" and around 120mm diameter?

I just looked it up. Diameter is 142mm. Pitch is still unkown.

You got 41kmh with the flipsky 100kv with this prop?

Probably the most suited ESC for a decent enough price.

btw,we are using our another motor,65111 150kv for our searover electric bodyboard.Welcome to try hgltech motor or searover electric bodyboard, thanks.

With all these commercial in various channels I think they never left the bumpy road.

Jezza, how are testresults`?

Hopefully Iā€™ll get some water time over the weekend. Itā€™s been a bit hectic here work wise and then the new mast I ordered wasnā€™t delivered so have had to fit the unit to an older mast without water cooling. But it should give me 10 minutes which is enough to test top speeds etcā€¦

Update: I managed to find the 16mm 75cm Axis mast in stock in France so hopefully that gets sent through ASAP and then Iā€™ll be able to add water-cooling as well!

So I managed to get the setup out on the water on Sunday for a 15minute ride. This was with no cooling and I managed to get the arc200 up to a toasty 87C.
I was slightly disappointed with the run though as I had hoped for some better speeds. But it will be interesting to see just how much the wing setup had to do with itā€¦

Prop: 130mm x 8"
Max RPM: Ā±3400
Max speed: 33.6km/h
Prop slip 18%

Interestingly, the max speed I have achieved with this foil setup, the FR prop and 120KV was 36kph.

If I switch foils and manage to get the prop slip down to 7% (which I had with the Unifoils) then I might be able to get just over 38kph.

I think the next step is to modify the motor shaft a bit so I can actually interchange the props between the motors now. That way I can do a better comparison!

I should add that I have picked up a second hand Gong Veloce L to test as well so that will be interesting to see how it compares!

Do you have a link to this foil ? thx

Can you share some pictures / thoughts about this foil ? It looks premium I have nothing to say about it, but would love to hear an efoil point of view like efficiency compared to other brands and impact on ride time,ā€¦

Donā€™t have any pics as I donā€™t have one currently, but yeah they are beautifully finished and really premium. The foil is by far the best Iā€™ve used thus far. Get up on foil at 13kph. Managed to get the current draw down to 18A so its really efficient. Carves beautifully for a High aspect wing as well. Since I tested one they have also brought out the 150 version so when I next do a trip to South Africa Iā€™ll test all their new gear.

But in 2 weeks Iā€™ll have the Gong Veloce L to test with so that will be interesting to seeā€¦

Looks interesting. Weā€™ve been so much focusing on the motor / esc / propeller that we barely see that much comparison between a set of wings for the same propulsion unit.

Iā€™d be interested to read your test reports with the Gong Veloce L compared to another wing too.

During your tests , the max rpm isnā€™t limited by any motor or batt max amp Settings , right ?
