# Lake Garda needs

Hi everybody,

I will go to lake garda (campagnola) in 4 weeks and due to the fact that my efoil is finalized, of course I would like to efoil there.  
But I could not find anything proper in the internet about the legal aspects of riding an efoil (self built 6384 motor). Right now my efoil is not registered in any country.  
How is that handled? Does anybody know (registration needs, insurance needs). Thank you very much.

you def. need insurance! And max speed on lake garda is 40km/h

Regarding insurance I have now found something on an boat insurance webpage. There it is stated that for italy an insurance with a coverage of 6.450.000,– € for persons and 1.300.000,– € for material is needed since june 2022 ([Bootshaftpflicht- / Yachthaftpflicht-Versicherung - SCHMITZ - YACHT - VERSICHERUNGS­VERMITTLUNG](https://www.schmitz-yachtversicherungen.de/bootsversicherungen/bootshaftpflicht-yachthaftpflicht-versicherung/)).  
I checked my normal liability insurance and luckily this is even covering driving of motorboots of up to 15HP. And even the sum is fine 10.000.000 € it is covering. So looks like insurance is fine. Then there is only the question with registration left.
