Mantafoils new remote

well that was in the beginning. My Remote is running 1 season without problems, and it was 160 US

Yep same my Maytech is now 2years old 600km but I did ruin 2 of them before getting it right haha

I just buy the skate ones… Cheap and then just waterproof them because Maytech never does it properly anyway. Think they are like $64 or something.

@Mantafoils I honestly think the price is a little high. On the DIY side I can’t see you getting many sales. If it was $340 including receiver, or bring down the cost of receiver quite a bit when bought with remote, then I think guys would buy in for a top tier remote. I certainly would as I think the Maytech remote is crap and would love a decent feeling remote.

I somehow agree it is on the high side for DIY. it was never designed with DIY in mind but as many DIYers are using VESC type controllers it could be make sense somehow.

The maytech was a cheap alternative. it has its advantages and its disadvantages. it does it’s job when modified properly. we used it until now in our products. spending quite some efforts / cost making it realiable as mentioned above by other users.

our new remote can not compare to the maytech in terms of functionalities.

It might be the case that it can’t be compared to Maytech, but it can definitely be compared to the FeRo remote (same, if not more functionality) which is a lot cheaper when it comes in at $260 with receiver…

FeRo Remote is not perfekt. He have Problems too.

Wich one?

more chars…

Customer has two pieces, none are running, and has been waiting for help for 3 months.
Other customers also have problems with the remote control.

What about your sponsored remote, running the least?

:see_no_evil: I think it was a pm

Very high-end remote and user manual.
Contains an interesting feature in order not to break 3D-printed folding prop.

Haw many seconds do fast, normal, slow, very slow mean ?

Seems like the remote doesn’t offer SI to Imperial (km to miles) conversion.

the first 20% throttle at startup are smoothed at an independant acceleration rate. it is fairly smooth yes.
I won’t communicate values as they are meaningless and we may indeed be playing around with them from firmware version to an other like we are doing for some other parameters.

note the remote is not designed for DIY so some setting may not be available such as battery cells number, etc…
we may add some more open functionalities in future but for now we are focusing on our core functionalities matching our mantafoils efoil.

there is SI and nautical units (mentioned in user manual)

Has anyone got hold of one of these remotes, and able to provide feedback when using with a typical DIY VESC and 65161 setup?
