# Motor recommendations in 2023?

Which motor would you recommend for an efoil build that uses a 14s or 15s battery?
I have seen the 65161 recommended a lot in older threads.
Is it still a good choice?
And if yes, which variant should I order?

100 or 120kv for 14s. The 10usd prop is satisfacory if reduced to 140cm@12s, possibly 120-130 here at 15s.

At a third of the above cost another serious recommandation is the SAITE 80100 or 63100 waterproof outrunners . So @brycej still fancying a short shaft one 😉 ? Do they sell the waterproof version only with short shaft ? Btw, why a 80100 over a 63100 ?

I was looking for one that would be able the same power as the flipsky 65161 for comparison. 63100 would be another interesting one to try.
