Yes, this is a Manta Performance motor. The only difference is the interface connectors. I don’t know if it’s possible to purchase a FoilDash motor, since official sales haven’t started yet.

FoilDash does have a Shop full of place holders for different components. Right now I see their motor price is $799USD. Similar to what a spare Manta motor would cost

Thanks for the info. I wrote this based on what a friend of mine who became their ambassador told me. He said it wasn’t the final version yet, and they were launching a Kickstarter campaign soon. It turns out they already have an online store. I’d buy the power cable; I really like it.
As for the belt, I found that for heavy batteries like the 12S3P, a Manta-type backpack is preferable as the weight distribution between the shoulders and lower back is really effective.

I bought a new Qidi 4Max printer to complement my existing Bambu printers. My first print was a 400x120 Manta plate. So far so good.

The final result. I’m impressed.

I made a “Maxi-pod” ) for the Manta. It’s so nice to be able to remove the motor from the mast by unscrewing just one bolt instead of five.

A friend is heading to Mauritius to ride, and since Manta failed to honor its warranty obligations regarding the failed batteries, I had to urgently build him a Foildash-style device. It is still an interim version, but it works and allows me to ride an 18-liter board in assist mode for about 35 minutes.

I’ve built this “foil assistant” for the Manta backpack. The goal was to reduce the length so that the 12S3P battery wouldn’t hit me in the back of the head. I’ve already tested the unit itself with a 6384 motor, and it works perfectly. I’m hoping to test it tomorrow with a 63100 motor and compare it to the Manta Performance model—I’m fairly certain it’s the exact same motor.

Since I consider this device a prototype, it is printed using PETG. The plate is made of PET-CF, and the electrical sockets are PET-GF. The battery enclosure is PETG—though that’s not an ideal choice—and the top cover is PET-GF. The battery is potted in a thermally conductive silicone compound; however, given that it doesn’t generate much heat, I believe regular silicone would also suffice.

Yes, I printed this. You can find the seals on AliExpress as part of a “Waterproof Electrical Auto Connector” component.

I’ve just come out of the water, and my conviction that the 63100 motor served as the foundation for the Manta Performance motor has only grown stronger. There is more than enough power—I can easily take off on an 18-liter board, even with a depleted battery.
