Hi, Maybe this info helps someone. I have recently built an efoil with Flipsky 65161, 75200 ESC foil and foil board set from Gong for winging. First run I had a lot off cutoffs, before cutoff remote control screen showed ~100A and ~5000W. It was more like jetboard šŸ˜… My problem was a duck around proppeler. Before second atemt I have removed it and efoil changed like day and night. Without duct I need max 60A to get on foil, if I give more power itā€™s almost impossible to keep nose down. P.S. I have also limitted power to 5000W with VESC profile. ---

The consistent feel across the whole voltage range is the advantage. Also every commercial product does this. ---

I donā€™t use a duck I read that it limits performance and range a lot but I didnā€™t know it was that bad. Thanks for sharing. ---

I just got my Flipsky 75200 set up and encountered the same problem with the power cutting outā€¦ Gonna go try these new fix ideas ā€¦ Thanks for asking the question and thanks everybody fkr your replies! ---

What helped us was setting the sensor mode to HFI (general \> set sensor mode hfi) and setting HFI to HFI Samples: 16 HFI Start Voltage: 40,0 V HFI Run Voltage: 25,0 V HFI Max Voltage: 25,0 V Sensorless ERPM HFI: 1000,00 HFI Start Sample: 65 You will need to change the voltage accordingly to your specific setting. ---

I implemented a lot of the suggestions I got here. I changed many settings so I canā€™t say for sure what was the good one but I suspect it was the setting for total watts I had it too low it was a 1500 watts so the motor was cutting The motor is rated 6000 watts so you want to go to 6000 or higher. I put some setting higher than rated but the motor never uses more than 150 Amps when I start from a standstill. I run a 10S setup so 150A at 40V is 6000 watts so thatā€™s ok and itā€™s only for a few seconds once you gain speed the power goes much lower.
