First coat of primer.
Will sand little bit more when i apply second primer coat then spray two layer of red marine finishing laquer.
Beautiful lollipop/lipstick red, no joke, I love the colour!

Agree, that’s a nice, almost cherry color. 
To me it could be just a tiny bit darker, that would’ve made the color deeper, possibly hide some damages later on also.

It was standard red hempel polynamel boat paint…

Its a really robust paint, can also get a good surface by hand painting(in the right conditions). Though to remove when dryed… I painted one boat with that some years ago, think it was even the same color 
It can also be buffed smooth in case of imperfections.

My latch system.
Cheap, effecitve, and simple to make ( aluminum profile neded inside board for this to work)
I will mabye use different screws for knobs, this is only for test fit
