6384 bell end position

I noticed the bell of my 6384 is rubbing on the outer shell of the backplate thing.

So I am wondering what the actual mechanical endstop is supposed to be?
End of the shaft hitting the bearings?

And what would the solution be here? A thin washer on the shaft?

Maybe your bearings are worn, happened to me when my bearings were next to falling apart, they are not meant to get high axial load.

no, bearings are almost new.

Guess its just production tolerances on those cheap motors.
Was just wondering what the supposed stop is to be.

2x tiny (0.1mm Passscheiben in German) shims works, so I guess thats the solution, althought they tend to fall out if not careful - so not great.

What if you put the shim(s) on the shaft of the bell so it sits between the end of the bell and the bearing?

Thats what I did, but I remove the bell everytime to clean and then the shims fall out if not careful.
