On this note a question - can our 12s motors handle 14s?
Actualy 6374 can handle 16s.
So maybe build a 14s battery and use with this controller?
The charger have to handle 2 x 8s or 6s + 8s
There is no boundary at 16s. The far end of the usage is normally when eddy current losses get too high, but where that is for a 6374 i don’t know exactly. 80100 motors was around 8000rpm, i guess about the same. 20s 80kV would be nice, except the increased electrical shock risk😇

I tested the 20S vesc I buit for a Onewheel with 18S and a 63100 on the bench. This was without load, but the sound of the bearings told me they did not like it. Must have been around 8k rpm.
I think the limitig factor is rpm (and max current).
63100 is a demanding motor with the long unsupported bell that can create vibrations, there’s also the effect of the quality of the bearings. I got a 63100 from freerchobby with noname bearings, it vibrated horribly already at 4000rpm.
