As i still gather some info and courage to start a build i could not help wondering: The GONG Alu mast…would there be any issue to strip the paint off of it and anodize the thing?
The black ones seem powder coated but the petrol colored ones seem anodised and it’s surely the same alloy. Therefore i think it’ll work well.

You need a beefy power supply, exensive anodize fluid, acid and a tank wilth 100C water. All off this bath you need to dip the foil into. Anodize at home anything larger than a key or something is NOT reccomended. Also with 10-30V you will only do type 2 coating, if you want type 3 (Mutch thicker and harder coating) you will need 80-100V.

It looks magnificent but i can literally feel the effort you put in this!! So blue ones are anodized for sure? Then it’s a no brainer which one to get for strippin’
