Hello folks, have been putting together a fauxdrive board and Fauxdrive motor/battery assembly.
Its been quite the learning curve.
Anyways i have a cavity in the board where the pelican sits. The cavilty fills up which cools my speed controller. However, the box ends up u der 1/2 inch of water and i loose signal. Surely this isnt a new problem…
Any suggestions or ideas are welcome please.
Marty
Hey, I have the same Pelican case.
I ended up getting a small cable gland that fits the cable for an external antenna. It works great now.
This is the cable gland I ordered: SKINDICHT-MINI-M6 Cable gland;M6;1;IP68;brass;Body
Mfr: LAPP Original part number: 52001860
Right on Beauty!
Thanks for the quick repl,.
Question#1: did u do a quick connect or just keep a really long external antena coming out of the box.
Question #2: How did u connect the antennae together?
Can you post a pict-dub-maui?
I didn’t do any quick disconnect. Just a cable coming out of the box.
The antenna connector just barely fits through the cable gland.
These days I have the box in a backpack, so the external antenna isn’t needed.
