What front wing should I use, Armstrong 1600 or 1850. The 1850 seemed to have more lift but once on foil seemed much faster, whereas the 1600 needed more wind and pumping to get on foil. Any thoughts?
I just bought an 1850 and was previously using a Slingshot Infinity 84. The 1850 has noticeably less drag and handles high speed much better. I have no experience with the 1600 but based on your comment it sounds like the 1850 would work better for you.
Go thin, high aspect if you want speed unless you are a raw beginner in which case a bit of drag is acceptable initially.
