Average price for complete build?

Hi everyone! I wanted to make a thread where people can show off their build and price they paid to build it. It seems interesting to see what people build. This is mostly to recieve good inspiration and learn a few tips!
Happy building!

Price overview 1st build

What I learned:

  • Get good tools in the beginning
  • Don’t invest too much effort in 1st build, you will outgrow it
  • Price of most components dropped since 2022 (especially motor and ESC)
  • If possible make ESC and battery as universal as possible, so you can reuse them in a new build

My costs were roughly:

Fliteboard Ultra (board only): €2200,-
Flipsky electronics (65161, VX5, 75200 Pro 2.0): €600,-
Battery (16S12P): €1000,- (this is with all cells, carbon casing, surlocks, BMS, custom laser cut nickel, wiring, small part etc).
Gong V3 stuff (mast, wings, fuselage etc): €400,- (used and new bought)
Total: €4.200,-

Not cheap, but the fliteboard rips.
Also adding some resell value since you could sell the board with ease back in to the fliteboard market
The board itself is majestic and super small and nimble.

My build is not finished but I have spent money!

Flipsky 6384 = $136
Flipsky 150A waterproof ESC = $98
Vx3 remote = $96
Bluetooth module = $22

K-parts motor pod and accessories = $100
Box that I don’t like = $50
Random cables and connectors = $100

= $602 spent so far, plus $75 or so in shipping costs.

Adding a foildrive slim performance battery would cost another $300-$400, and upgrading my box to something I like better might cost $100. And a good battery charger might be another $200. So let’s say $1300 for my first build, which does not yet work.

edit: I have also spent a lot of money on boards and foils. If you can’t buy used boards/foils in your area, then I think Gong products are a good value for buying new.
