It seems none of the additional options (BEC, waterproof antennae, GPS module) are not available when the USA/Canada version is selected. Is that correct?

Hi,
we have tested this option and it works. Please try again in a few minutes. If it doesn’t work, please let us know.

Great News just placed my order (additional options worked for me). Could you elaborate whats included in the base kit? Do i need to get anything else apart from the printed parts, tools screws and wires? Battery, potting compound, usb connector?

Hi,
In the basic BREmote V2 kit you get: all electronic components, with screws and magnets. Including all cables, connectors and potting compound.

Here is a first build video

Will make video on the SW configuration soon

This is very exciting, it’s like new iPhone day for our ‘niche within a niche’ If anyone from New Zealand wants to share in shipping costs please get in touch, I’ll wait a day before making my order for this reason.
With US Freq, If I select Antenna or BEC option, I get the ‘Sorry, no products matched your selection.’ message. edit, that is fixed now.

try again, it should work now.

If you’re outside US/CAN/EU, check this document for the frequencies used in your Country. Table starts on page 11. RP002-1.0.4 Regional Parameters

You’re potting with silicone in V2. Did you find any issues with expanding foam over time? …or did you have problems with it otherwise? Since the V1 remote, I’ve used it to pot other projects and have preferred that approach where it’s also beneficial to reduce weight.

The new remote is potted with a 2 component polyurethane rubber. Over the old foaming potting compound it has the following advantages:

  • longer shelf life
  • longer time after mixing
  • better filling for small gaps

Please also note that in the new remote the antenna is matched according to the electrical properties of the potting material. Using a different material to pot the remote will decrease the antenna performance and range drastically.

Looks great. Before I place my order can you please confirm whether the 3d printed parts are included in the non-assembled option? If not, will files be provided just like the v1? Will the handle .stl file also be provided? I’m just trying to decide whether to order your handle or print my own.

Many thanks,

James

Hi,
I appreciate your support.
If you choose this option, 3d prints will only be included in your order. If you order just the basic kit, you will only get the electronics with small assembly supplies. The 3d model will be released soon for everyone to print themselves, just like in version 1.

Is there any reason for the relatively expensive UK shipping? Seems much higher than parts from France or China. Range is €72-€138

I’ll order one anyway, but worth checking as I prefer a courier to post but that makes it very expensive

I guess you can blame brexit fot this.
