Can I use Mantafoil Remote with any VESC for efoil/jetboard build?

I really like the mantafoil remote, big color screen with many feature. They sell the receiver and remote. I wonder if i could just use it with any vesc for efoil/jetboard build? Appreciate your input and maybe suggestion for similar remote?

It needs a vesc.

there is no sense to use pwm as you won’t get any telemetry data and then the remote would be overkill.

Hello guys… After a year using the well known maytech remote i finally finalized (almost) my own Mantafoils remote control. It is vesc compatible, has GPS, accelerometer, sd card for log and is wireless charging and last but not least it floats. It will soon be available with it’s compatible receiver. Yes works with any voltage main battery as the 5v power to the receiver comes from the VESC.

I’m not using the receiver any more as I built my own receiver board from scratch with a GPS and steering etc for the Boogie.

Hi all,
Same question again.
I am using an MGM Compro ESC. So no VESC with the VESC typical connection. As far as I know there are a lot of differences in the MGM protocol compared to the VESC one.
So to start, I would just like to use the Mantafoil Remote with the Receiver and my MGM ESC.
And this just via PWM. Plus GND and Singal.
Is this possible? I will look into the protocol after the season.

After successfully trying it out with a few customers, we are now officially offering the new Manta remote to DIY builders. This is the remote we offer for the TakeOff Foil assist, and our eFoils. It was fully upgraded this summer 2024 for the TakeOff.

It is available with a standalone receiver that provides VESC connectivity (VCC, GND, TX, RX, PPM). PPM signal can be used for throttle or steering servo for a tow boogie (configurable in the remote’s menu). Battery voltage display is supported: 12s and 14s.
