Connect battery and motor to receiver

Hi Foilers,

I’m making my first foil assist setup, I have 2 6s2p Lithium Ion batteries in serie.
Flycolor 160A
Maytech V3 remote
6384 motor

I find this

I ask myself, is it secure to wire red cable coming from batteries to BAT from receiver, it makes 44V to receiver, will it not burn ? I know that its the 5V from UBEC that supply the receiver… And the same for motor, it doesn’t make problem to wire a black cable from ESC for the motor to the receiver ?
Which size of cable do you use 18AWG is good ?
Is it as simple as this ?

Have a good ride

You are correct, the BATT input takes the full battery voltage. It will not fry if you connect 44vdc to it. 18awg is plenty, I have been using 22 awg for a few years on this connection. The negative gets connected as you showed in your diagram.

Perfect ! Thank you for your help  I was afraid to fry my receiver directly :joy:

How is everything now?

A stable power interface is key when linking batteries and ESCs to receivers. The XCF16PV048C is ideal for embedded systems needing reliable configuration memory, helping manage boot sequences in motor control setups where timing and stability are critical.

I didn’t try it on water for the moment but at home it works well !
