Anyone know how to tell if a 65165 motor is damaged? I put a new Trampa 100/250 VESC on, and the motor is barely running, stuttering. Feels like bearings or gears are off.
I think the motor is trashed, I can hear the stator/motor spinnning inside but the prop is not moving.
The 65161 is direct drive. If it spins by hand freely then more than likely will be fine.
Have you configured the controller for the motor in vesc tool?
Motor spins but seems to have some play.
I have tried to run the Vesc tool autoconfigure multiple times on the new VESC, it runs rough, stator spins but prop barely moves.
Is there another way to test motor?
( I fried my old 75300 Trampa VESC, flooded the entire box when I didn’t close the box properly! Might have damaged the motor also?)
You can test the windings for resistance but most multi meters won’t be accurate enough that low.
Post a video of the noise and will give some insights.
Not much inside there. I think you need to open it up and probably find some bearing wrecked or a seal and its jamming.
I think the bearings are shot. Can hear spinning but no prop spin. I’ve taken apart several 65161 motors, all without success. I just went and bought another from Flipsky.
