Just wondering what you are are using for a leash to save a big swim after a fall in waves? I think the oceanus reel leash is probably the beast option but it seems no longer available.
I use reverse gear with vx3 remote.
What is the configuration setup and how to use it?
I use the Oceanus reel leash attached to my PFD only when there is enough waves for the board to run away. The reverse gear idea is interesting but I purposely installed the 1.5m antenna so that when I fall off the board I’m out of reach and the foil stops even if I would accidentally pull the trigger. I doubt it would work several meters away but I haven’t tried!
Where did you put the antenna? I can spin my motor 100ft away from the house to shore on dry land anyway.
At the front of the compartment otherwise it doesn’t work Bluetooth doesn’t work under water. I have the 3m antenna but like I said the short range is a good safety measure. The Flite Pro doesn’t stick out of the water much when I’m on it it’s mostly under water when floating alone the deck is out but not much!
I have mine midway in the compartment and all shut I can spin the prop 100ft away. Surprising! I have held on to throttle a tad long after my typical off the back bailout. The board gets airborn! I have tried the burst of throttle to wheelie the board and it will turn back to you if you get it right. But a reverse might be more reliable. The reel leashes seem to be unavailable everywhere. I have one but the spring inside it toast. Maybe I can repair it.
@windego You have to activate Esk8 Mode in the VX3 Remote and in the vesc Tool you need to activate under App config, reverse - brake option.
Awesome thankyou will give it a shot.
