ESC without controller

Hi everyone,

I am new to efoil building and hoping to soon get into my first build. I’m wondering if anyone knows whether an on/off switch on the board would be sufficient to turn the motor on and off, instead of using a controller that connects to en ESC. I’m assuming I would also need an ESC for this to work. Does anyone know of any cheap ones that would accomplish this?

Yes, under certain conditions (e.g. safety precautions) a switch on the board is sufficient. Someone here To watercool ESC or not? - #13 by _marty is considering a similar solution.
