Great idea!
Yes, they say parawing does only 3kts upwind, wing does 5kts:

I don’t know why they say that the wind range is 7-35. How 3.5m can be enough in lightwind…
But it can be potentially combined with electric assist …

No need to inflate - great!
Interesting that adequate rigidity can be achieved without inflating.

Need the price to come down - for example if Gong produces it. Or dyi.

Thats expensive for what looks pretty basic materials. But these everything is!

The 1982 Bird Sail was a 6.3m2, 5kg, 4.6m wingspan rigid sail… I hope that digging out these relics will give ideas to 2024 tinkerers using carbon tubes …

However, it is worth noting that parawing eliminates the possibility of injury and damage to the board, which cannot be said about this carbon frame.

Parawing also avoids looking like a muppet with a giant thing strapped to your back.
I don’t really get why anyone wants a rigid wing strapped to them if you can just release a inflatable wing and let it fly on the leash.

But I would think that the rigid wing could fly even better if made light and aerodynamic. Although love the concept of BRM parawing
