Corrosion shouldn’t be getting in unless there is a waterproofing issue. Either you have a cut in the cable or the motor wasnt waterproofed correctly at the factory. Perhaps post a picture of the issue.
Do you seriously think corrosion destroyed the silicone insulation? There’s obvious mechanical damage.
The copper has already dissolved in several places, including the motor. I also think water got in there somehow. But how can I replace the cables directly on the motor?
Remove the stator alu end cap and solder new wires, se her how to do that:
Be careful with the glue of the windings, soften it before hammering out that alu part too far. Otherwise you could tear the windings.

Maybe also swap the ceramic bearing(s) for a stainless one if you take the motor apart.
Those cables definitely got cut and let water in. You need to be really careful not to slice them.
