Hello, I am currently setting up a VESC FLIPSKY 75100 v2 pro, is it important or not to activate the phase filter?
Thank you
Phase filter in eFoil is pretty much useless anyway, so the safe thing is to turn it off
I have a 75100 pro V2 and a 75200 pro V2… both controllers have the filters installed, so if you leave them on during setup, there’s no risk of damaging anything.
Tested in practice…
And as Ludwig said, I didn’t feel any benefit from them…
Thank you , tried my set up today ; it works well ;
Board 30 L
Foil KJ2 950 stab 34
75100’s parameters : battery current 60 amp , motor current 120 amp , absolute max 160 amp (max scale 90 amp)
FLIPSKY 6384 in 110 kv
I would like a Little bit of higher speed to be confortable with my kj2 800
Which parameter can I optimize ?
Depends if you hit the current limit or you reach max rpm. If you reach max rpm with some headroom for current you can try factor 1.1 to 1.15 overmodulation. This is a new feature of vesc fw 6.06 so you might need a fw upgrade.
Otherwise a prop with higher pitch also increases max speed, as long as the motor has enough torque and the vesc can deliver the current needed.
Thank you, are there any issues or things to be aware of if I upgrade my VESC to 6.06?
You need to find the right fw for your HW and if the HW does not have HW filters, you might have to disable them in the settings BEFORE you run motor detection. You also need to redo the setup.
I run 6.06 with overmodulation on my onewheel and it runs stable so far.
