Flipsky 75200 - Same Amp Setting Required After Increasing Voltage - 8s to 14s

Thanks for the reply.

I don’t think I was clear, or the question wasn’t understood.

I just wanted to know why I needed the same motor amps setting after upping volts. I thought it would be different because a friend stated, without the literal meaning, that battery and motor volts are the same.

The answer I was looking for was 'you need to keep the same motor amps setting for same performance because motor amps determines the power, and battery volt changes won’t change this because they are different sides of the ESC and not directly linked."

I don’t entirely understand your comment, but for the one good run I got to do before it died, with the same ESC settings, it felt like more power.

I have rebuilt the setup with testing soon.

I am not so much into the electronis of bldc motors, but I think here are some topics mixed up.

As Ludwig above stated, “On motor side: current=torque, voltage=Max speed”.

So “Again, I increased volts, but amp setting is the same, performance the same, battery use the same” is not really true.

If you change the voltage, you change the performance.
Just not at every RPM.
