Flipsky propellers. Black or White?

I am considering the two fixed propeller options for Flipsky 65161. The white and the black one. I’m a propeller noob, but the white looks big and the black looks more like the Flite propeller. They are both $20 extra bought bundled with the motor. Which one is the better option for a DIY efoil build. Or should I just buy the Flite propeller?

Buy the flite prop. Better match for the motor then the original white or Black.

The white prop is too big it doesn’t work for an efoil. I haven’t tried the black one. Like Sharrow said the Fliteboard prop is perfect and only 35$ it’s the only thing from Flite that’s not crazy expensive.

note that if you get a Flite prop it needs to be drilled out. It takes an 11mm motor shaft, but Flipsky 65161 is 12mm. It’s not hard to widen to fit the hole with a drill press or a lathe. Since I had neither I used this printed drill guide: Flite Prop Drill Guide by Caleb | Download free STL model | Printables.com
Don’t even need a drill, I was able to ream it out gradually by hand just twisting the prop back an forth as I held the 12mm bit

I ordered the bundeled black propeller since it was only $20 extra. Got the package the other day an Flipsky actually sent me both black and white popeller. Big difference! The little one is 6cm radius an the big one is 9cm. Here is a comparing picture👍

Depending on your battery and board etc black may to too small white too large. some users cut down the diameter of cvthe white one. some find using the inexpensive flight propeller a much better option for efoil with the 65161.

The black prop that I got does not match the one in the picture together with the Flipsky 65161 motor: Efoil motor FS65161 100KV 6000W 20S water proof for motorized surfboard | Flipsky.net – FLIPSKY

The one I got looks more like the one on their accessories page: ABS Motor Boat Propellers 3.8 Inches Electric Engine Outboard Propelle – FLIPSKY

The bundeled prop is $20 extra and the accessory-one is $15, so I thought that they were two different models. The one on the bundle picture looks bigger and more like the Flite propeller. I photoshopped together the two trying to match the size to the M8 nut and the pin (perspective not taken into account)

Do you have any idea on the pitch for the white propeller? I’m curious if it is designed for lower voltage and lower RPM.

The bigger black one looks good.
Let us know if you find it for sale separately.

I contacted Flipsky about the issue, but they say it’s the same prop. (It’s not…)

My guess is that they either had one before which was different, sold them out and the next batch was different and they didn’t bother to change the photo. Or this is actually the Flite propeller, because it looks VERY similar! If you look closely on one of the pictures of the prop guard you can clearly see the same prop and it has more or less the same diameter as the foldable one.

I ordered the Flite propeller from a local dealer and will get it in a couple of days. I will post a comparison picture.

The white one is labeled 7 1/4 x 5-A so I guess it’s 5" pitch. If you search for that label on Aliexpress you will find the same propeller, but with a end cone and 10mm bore. Flipsky probably machines off the cone and drills out the bore to 12mm.

The blank one has no label. It’s advertised as 3.8" which is not the diameter. I measure it to a radius of ~60mm = 4.7" diameter. If you search for 3.8" propeller on Aliexpress you will find the exact same one with a cad drawing and 120mm diameter. So maybe 3.8" is the pitch?

If you ordered a Flite prop, better use this one, I haven‘t found a better one and I tested quite a few props.
