Looking for advice on adding a quick disconnect, SP21 type plug for the Foil Assist battery box. I’ve done this before, however, the placement of the current wire has it really close to the opening latch. There’s not much room for such type plug?
I referring to this type of waterproof quick disconnect plug.
I tried a similar plug from cnlinko, but the pins on both are too tiny and you end up with too much heat. What you may be able to do is remove the pins and replace with larger bullet connectors or an ML60 connector inside though.
Ok, what if I use a plug rated for 45 amps & 10awg wire? Bigger pins however, diameter of the hole might interfere with the left latch?
I could leave the interior wire connector coming from the box intact and make the quick disconnect outside the box?
This would be a better approach if you can get parts 3d printed. I’ve been using versions of these for a while. They are a great design. Standard 6mm bullets can be used. You don’t have to buy the LMT ones. All will offer more amps than you need.
Based on above @hangloose connector, you also have @Jesserosco’s
6mm version: to connect a brushless motor using 12awg wire and 6mm bullet connectors.
