My Gen 1 Foil Drive is on the Cedrus project integrated mast and I desync’d the ESC when the plugs became partially unplugged intermittently. It burned out my FD original ESC and I replaced the battery box and ESC with a Maytech 160 amp ESC and had to change remote and receiver to get voltage telemetry. It ran okay for a few weeks then suddenly started lost power and was growling every time I put in more than 23% power. AI said it was likely the bearings and I checked them and the bearings were a bit gritty and a tiny bit loose,
To get the rear bearing out I literally pried the nose off, pulling the metal threaded inserts out of the nose. I pushed the wires up the mast to all the rear half of the motor mount system to be removed but i can see two screws coming from the front through the stator base plate but the heads are not visible, apparently behind the sealed front surface of the mount. I plan to grind a hole through the glued in surface but don’t understand how this thing was made with the heads of the screws going forward and backward both being concealed,
Maybe some pictures could help.
