Hi All,
Does anyone know who is building the foil drive V3 remote for them looks a cool remote to try out.
Also I’m searching for remotes to build/buy so drop any suggestion you have.
Thanks in Advance

Looks like Maytech designed it, oem.
FD claim they designed it and produce it from the ground up… we’ll see when Maytech produces something similar too. You can also buy it from FD and use a standard Maytech RX
To be fair it may be a joint effort with either maytech or whoever is producing Maytechs remotes.
They’ve added Bluetooth to it as well as a GPS I think.
It’s not particularly hard to make a similar but better one…
Hey, What would you recommend to make something similar? Cheers
Looks like it’s made by Maytech to me ![]()
Do you want the identical features? Do you have capability to code some stuff or adjust etc?
Just get the VX5 remote.
What would be great is if you could customise the code for the VX5
Yeah that would be cool for sure
It doesn’t need to have the exact same features by any means, something with similar feature to flite would be cool. I saw this project a while back but it seems nothing happened with it.
I am happy to write code or just adjust code either is good with me.
Cheers
There is this one https://www.eoloonline.it/remote-controller
You could probably add in some buttons and adjust code relatively easily.
Oh thats cool I haven’t seen that one before, is there any cad files available for it so I can have a go at adapting it for my needs?
Also do you know of any builds which use a touchscreen which is something I have been thinking about.
Thanks
If I want to add a touch screen am I right in saying a resistive touch screen is best for something like this?
Thanks
The STL files are there somewhere or on here somewhere. Just convert them and then edit.
I wouldn’t bother with a touch screen. Every touch screen I’ve even used gets messy with water.
You can’t really convert them easily unless you know a way?
You’re probably right about the touch screen I haven’t seen any commercial brands do it to be fair.
There are some online stl to step converters, some have worked ok for me. Original step is always better.
I’ve used fusion to convert with good success. Alternatively just contact the original maker and ask if he’s prepared to share the step files.
