You know we want them 7"
Go for it, you can do it
I’m waiting for your Fliteboard propeller test. He will be decisive for me.
Ofcourse I understand that your production capacity (and you!) has a limit. I’m not trying to be rude, your effort is appreciated! But communication is key when delivery times can’t be met in production business as you know.
A friend has fit it already to my motor. Looks promising, stay tuned
then please send a photo of what it looks like after editing.
super work. when are you going to the water?
Looking good! Have mine coming in from france at 21€
We should not expect that thick plastic can match the performance of the FR prop. The FR is really a marvel, only milling in very very hight grade alu can make blades that thin. In boating there is really no segment like it except for some low volume stainless racing props.
With that said, Fliteboard has spared no expense in design choices of their Board, so the Prop is definately calculated and will exceed anything we mortals can possibly print.
Hope to give scientific 1:1 with efficiencies of both propos by end next week.
The tickness of Fliteboard Prop is 4,2mm and for this price is it great. But the best , you can order it
Blade shape is definitely little different from typical blades(outboards as an example). Is this a FR or something else?
This is flite prop
Char
Thanks. It appears that the FR blade shape is slightly wider at the base, kind of impeller like, but very though to compare without having them in hand?
Hello,
has anyone been able to order a FR Motor System lately?
Yes I ordered one propeller and 2 FR latch but it was the last one in stock said David. I went directly via face book because no answer on this post since the survey of @Jezza
Yeah I’m not sure whats going on. I offered a basic service so that we could collate all the orders. But it seems David is too busy to fulfil them which is good for him I guess.
I am busy with a new CNC machine. Once it’s done I should be able to smash out some prop designs and hopefully they might fill in some gaps…
I don’t understand it. With an existing design you can run a batch of propellers at a number of machine shop withs CNC capabilities if there are customers that want to buy. Why does FR not outsource/expand the production?
good question.
CNC skills are only 50% of good prop, because you must know how to perfectly polished and balance them. I have alsoe limited to a polished area. it’s not easy 500 prop in one month to polished and now im doing this past 2 year my hands are tired and good people to have these skills in hand it’s really hard to find.
The polishing or surface treatment is off course important, also needed for nice looks when anodizing - still i wonder, are requirements truly special or unique in our use.
Isn’t it more that to expand with maintained quality you need to develop new partners (which take time) and when you’re deep in a huge hole full of orders it’s tough to get that done? time to find a friend to help with it?
