Just curious. For a bit less weight sensitive small craft, why arent tandem setups used, aka 2 smaller wings (CL matching CG)? Less efficient and a bit more draggy maybe? Could be incorporated on 1 or 2 masts (ailerons front, elevators back, with or wthout rudder; trying to get away with 2 servos+motor). Tandem gliders (rc) work pretty well. I am in process of making 1/3 model to test the āavionicsā. Still printing painfully slowly 
Was OU32 tandem setup? LOoks like āalmostāā¦ Cannard?
With modern high aspect wings, thereās no reason to have tandem setups.
I think Frifoil were trying to imitate the AC75 style with their concept (or copying it without realising it).
Would backwing in singlewing setup be symetrical since it would have control surfaces?
