Maybe a dumb question…I want to buy a 1500cm wing foil…I have already a gong carbon mast…I’m btw to buy a Gong Curve 1500cm and change completely and buy an F-one alu Phantom 1480 fct (that I think is better but never tried and it’s aluminium)…at the moment cannot afford any better option…
Someone have tried both…any advice is welcome

I have the fone 75cm Alu mast and phantom fct 1280 foil, with a 120 L slingshot board.
I learned very quickly on this set up and i got it cheap while at the gorge in 2023.
I bought my wings a 4m and 5m duotone slicks on Craigslist for $400 each.
The board on Craigslist for $700, i wanted a 100L board but that’s what was for sale.
The foil setup i got used from a local shop for about 1000
Add some leaches and booms for the wings i was still less than 3K
I think the phantom fct is. A great beginner setup, it’s less expensive and you wont worry about banging it up learning.
I am only making about 20 percent of my jibes right now with about 15 sessions on the water, but as soon as i am making, 80 percent im going got upgrade the board first then the foil set up.
I see people dropping 5k for their first setup, only to upgrade soon, buy a cheap used setup to learn then upgrade.
