My wife ran it aground last summer in to some large rocks. (Maybe unrelated) Let it sit on the dock the rest of the day in the sun and it developed a large bubble. I’m assuming it had air or got air inside of it and the heat made it swell. It’s a AliExpress special so not concerned if it messes up. Besides retrofit a Gong wing to Chinese fuselage is there a way to repair this?
I’m no expert but it looks like the “bubble” is a delamination between the foam core and the fibreglass (looks like carbon fibre but might not be)
Nothing to lose so my suggestion would be to slice the bubble open lengthwise and see if it’s flexible enough to clamp back down to where it started. If so add some resin under the bubble through that slot attempting to get it over the entire surface and then clamp. Once set fill the slice with more resin and then do some sanding to get it smooth again.
Maybe shop for a more complete Gong kit while you are waiting for resin to set😉
