Hey guys, I was shopping at IKEA yesterday and I bought one of these lightbulbs that has a wireless dimmer. The dimmer is small and works with a magnet that holds it together and acts as a hall sensor. (I think) Since this is already wireless and only costs 17€ maybe it could be reused as a remote? Its very compact and runs with a button cell. Maybe somebody here that is an expert in electronics could hack it. Just an idea.
It could certainly be hacked. But is it waterproof? Even if one would use this in a new housing - to be able to turn it, it will have to have some contact to the outside. If one has to waterproof it or extract the internals you could directly use a custom solution with a hall sensor or similar.
