Is the finbox pin on my flipsky kit on the wrong side?

I am setting up a powered SUP using the flipsky 65161 kit (Flipsky Brushless Motor 65161 6000W Waterproof Underwater Thruster ele – FLIPSKY)

My problem is that when I attach the motor to my finbox, it’s backwards. Either that, or I’m confused. The prop goes in the back, right?

I attached it backwards for now. Pictured below.

If I put it on the other way, the pin doesn’t slot in.

Should I unscrew those bolts, and flip it?

Definitely, also look at the shape, the 45 degrees angeles part should point to the front (as it is on the picture).

Some of the pictures on their website show the pin on the prop-side, and some have it on the cone-side.

How does the mounting plate attach to the board. Can’t you just rotate it 180 and put it back on?

The finbox? It’s glued on. I could potentially put another finbox on, in front of that one. The kit came with one. Ungluing would be hard.

I don’t know how your product works but I assume the part (mounting plate) that is stuck on was supposed to go on in the other direction so when you mounted the motor attachment piece the motor would be facing in the correct direction.

Did the “kit” come with a manual that you could post here?

There’s no manual unfortunately.

Then perhaps you could provide some detail about why and how mounted the Flipsky kit to your board.

Show some other photos of the full bottom of the board etc.

The SUP would have some sort of finbox to mount the original keg/fin in. Did you stick a component of the Flipsky kit on top of that and it can’t be removed?

I just slid the flipsky motor into the existing finbox, backwards.

I’m going to assume that Flipsky incorrectly put the pin in the wrong location. So I’ll remove the bolts, and flip the motor around.

cant you just open these 3 screws and turn it 180 degrees?

Yes, I’ll do that. Those screws are what I meant when I said bolts.
