Not crazy about the requirement to drill hole in board though. I have a Fliteboard proven watertight setup now. Potential leak from drilled hole isn’t a risk I’m willing to take😉

From @ludwig_bre post it doesn’t sound like a good idea for other reasons.

So in my instance I could use the port 7 Hall VESC connection right beside port 6 COMM for 5V and GRD and pull the existing wire for ACD2 out of the remote connection cable and make up a harness that I can then string to wherever I place the Hall switch? That sounds pretty straightforward if I’m interpreting your guidance correctly😀

Do all the Hall sensors work at both 3.3V and 5V or is that model specific?

Yes

Depends on the type. Most work with 3.3 and 5, some need 10 or 12V, …
