LAFC Foil EXPO 2021

Presented by the Los Angeles Foil Club
(legally, not a club, but hey, who’s counting?)

Sunset Point, Parking Lot
Pacific Palisades, California

When:
Saturday, April 17, 2021
8 am-2 pm

Events:

8 am - Foil session! Low tide - Demos available to known foilers

Prone, SUP, beach start, efoil, Tow Boogie, Wing if possible
Exhibition, Best ride, best maneuver, longest ride, longest time up on foil

11am - Beach Clean Up: Please help to keep our foil beaches clean. Non-foilers welcome
(LAFC will bags and gloves)

12pm - Lunch: Bring a picnic or run across to the store for lunch

Ongoing - Expo: Buy sell trade your used foil gear! (See attached signup sheet)

New equipment displays from Axis Lift GoFoil Armstrong Gong Naish and more

Alejandro will have his caravan of new & used gear

Sam will have Lift efoils!

TopGun Foil Duels with Deputy Patrick, vs. Kimo and Clinton!! Kenny and Cole too!
Magic Merten Jetfoil tows and Bungee beach starts by BadBrad too in case it’s flat.
Tow Boogie Tom and Maciek too!

HDip Joe will be providing live commentary

Should be a great day, first in a series of 3 events in So. Cal. SBJ and Sano in the works!

Remember to MASK UP! - While this is an outdoor event and we will follow social distancing guidelines, as we are still in a global pandemic, we will want those participating to mask up when appropriate

If you want to sell some used gear, bring it, but there’s also a sign up sheet managed by @LAHISurfDoc - DM him for the link. We will be posting what’s available closer to the event. Watch this thread.

I should have a project cedrus mast for people to check out too. It’s a custom hollow carbon mast that can take adapters to fit to most brands. Hard to find these in the wild.

Amazing event, great hang and good times were had by all. No hassles in the water and a TON of gear was demo’d.

A personal highlight was turning one of our usual spots (which was empty of surfers due to the wind) into the harbor on Maui with 14 wingers out at once. Maybe an LA record.

Thanks to all who came out. Hope the next one is even better.
