Is it possible to parallel charge 2 6s12p batteries make with samsung 18650 30q cells? how fast can these batteries charge with the right charger? Any recommendations for a charger?
Yes you can charge those in parallel. Assuming you build them without bms an charge them with an rc charger. Current for fast charging would be 1C, 36A for 12P. Most RC grade chargers max out @30A. Either you use one charger per pack or you charge it with 15A per pack if packs are connected to one charger (in parallel).
I use two iChargerX8 with modified server PSUâs.
This way you can charge each battery with 30A which will take a bit over an hour. Doubles if you connect the packs in parallel and charge them with one charger.
