Manta Performance Motor

I happened to come across a new Manta motor. Judging by the high shaft discreteness, I thought it used a gearbox. Does anyone have any reliable information on this?

I don’t think it uses a gearbox. You’d hear it immediately when you rotate it if it does though.

Indeed, there is no gearbox. VESC Tool correctly detected the motor with the following parameters:
manta perf

Question: Is the Manta Performance motor an inrunner or an outrunner? Thanks.

I think it s an inrunner, and the closest motor I think is this one :

Yes, it is a inrunner

Looks like a good quality motor with those valueswhats the diameter of the motor? Almost looks like 65x100

The caliper shows 69 mm. A friend of mine who used this motor in Vietnam describes it as very powerful.

Do we need to know the number of poles or kv to configure the esc to use this motor.
When using am32, it seems these inputs are used to calculate max current settings…

It’s not an inrunner. It actually a 6385 outrunner with a Faraday Cage built around it to seal out the water.

An innie-outtie runner. I think stoke foil boost use a similar concept.

I tested something like this ages back and it burnt out so fast.
Have you seen it torn apart?

Then it is more likely that it is 63100, since the detection parameters are identical.
