Maytech V3 -Flipsky VX3 - Flipsky VX3 pro

Neither remote seemed heavy.
Edit - phone connects to Bluetooth module in VESC not remote receiver.

Not sure how much I will use the VESCtool on phone once I am happy with all the settings, but it was excellent for testing and setting temp/volt/current limits and throttle response in real time without having to come back and plug VESC into computer. Can also use it for data logging all the parameters to phone if that appeals. Can add GPS to VESC as well if desired.

Pretty sure your phone is pairing with the VESC.

Thanks Foilguy, you are correct.

Watched too many you tube vids late at night and the Flipsky receiver looks like it has a Bluetooth module soldered on (It doesn’t)

VESCtool on my phone is paired with Bluetooth module in VESC -Makerbase MKS84100HP which was recommended to me here and has been excellent so far.

FD got same problems with the spring.
They sale replacement springs and provide instructions to replace it…

Also that locking to the max, but the post here provides ways to tackle it.

They started to sell replacement springs for Maytech remote which are better than the original.

And someone suggested these mods:

Flipsky VX3 vs VX3 pro receiver

Ha, that was me.

If I was a foil driver I would install a back up coil spring inside the trigger as well so that both work in tandem. It’s highly unlikely that a coil spring would ever fail due to lack is stress concentrations.

A stainless version of one inside a ball point pen would work and a 3d printed holder inside the trigger. There’s lots of room.

If I get round to it I’ll post it here, I’m sure the community would like it.
