Thanks for all the great advice ive received from this forum.
I have built an efoil using maytech v3 remote, mtspf7.12 70 200 esc and 65162 motor, all maytech parts. Battery is samsung 18650 13s 8p
The efoil operates but randomly there is a loss of power.
I have attached 2 videos. Im hoping someone could point me in the right direction as to how to fix this.
My thoughts are i don’t think it is a bearing issue as all currents drop when the loss of power happens.
It sounds horrible! The current control looks bad (if that’s the greenish curve),
I guess there’s some issue with
wiring
the motor identification or
sensorless measurement.
This can be a bit difficult to solve since there are several possibilities but you could start checking all connections, then uploading the motor identification parameters, all your settings and the logs from the tests you made so there’s something to start from.
Ive swapped out receiver and ive identified that the esc is the problem. It is now showing over limit motor current and then stopped working. Ive got a new one on the way
