Motor stuttering - DIY Foil Assist

I’ve built a DIY foil assist powered by two 6s3p batteries (50.4V). The setup includes a Saite 6384 motor, a Flycolor X-Cross 160A ESC, a Matek Systems BEC12S-PRO voltage regulator (9–55V to 5V/8V/12V-5A), and a Maytech MTSKR1905WF V3 remote.

When I first powered it on, everything worked perfectly. I then pushed the throttle to 100% for about 10 seconds. After that, the motor started stuttering. Now it will spin briefly—maybe a single revolution—before stuttering again.

I’ve tried restarting the remote and unplugging/reconnecting the batteries. The motor beeps sound completely normal, exactly as they did when it was working fine.

Any ideas on what could be going wrong and how best to diagnose it? Thanks!

Long shot… Something similar happened to me when I by accident attached motor to pod with too long screws. Screws touched between motor windings/poles as I remember it…
