Still trying to set up my ARC200…it’s taking weeks
The motor now responds to the remote but once it starts it won’t stop even when I take my finger off the trigger.
I am using the ‘Torque mode forward only’ and Jez has been kind enough to suggest a few options including reducing the RPM in the speed settings but this hasn’t worked, I’m now experimenting with changing the ‘current command offset’ settings
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Thanks

Maybe a dumb q but, is there some kind of a failsafe? Min allowed throttle or some crap like that?

There is a failsafe wherby if you loose signal from the remote it will kill the power but haven’t tested it yet
Try setting the ‘max phase regen’ current to a small positive value eg 10A. I have the same if I set it to zero. (Keeps spinning)

I remember type of failsafe with arducopter where on letting go of the gas stick, throttle would be 25% by default. Almost chopped my head off 1 time. I did read here or somewhere some1 used this for a kind of copter so maybe there is a “hidden setting”. I dont have arc so just a thought.

Thanks @shoresup I’ll have a look at the ‘max phase regen’ settings

Tried upping the ‘max phase regen’ to 10 still doing the same.
I wonder if it’s a problem with my Maytech?

Ask FR what Kv the motor he used was. Alternatively set your RPM limit to 35000 and then look at what RPM is actually reached when you run your motor in the telemetry panel in the ARC GUI.
Then export your Arc200 config and put it here so I can take a look at it.

Hi Jez,
FR said that it is a 360 kv motor.
Also looking back through previous conversations with him when I first got the motor it is limited to 90 amps when using a 12s battery, so 4000W
Not sure how this affects my ARC set up

Set the rpm to 18000 as that’s the max RPM the motor can get to.
Send me all the settings your motor has as well.

Thanks Jez, I’ll have another go tomorrow and try the RPM at 18000 and see if that does the trick, I’ll then also share the data

Changed it to 18000rpm but now it won’t start, just pops and gurgles
How do I share the numbers? Do I need to send you the CSV file?
Many thanks

There’s an option to save the config file. Then just post it here…

I downloaded the config file but unfortunately the only option was to save it as a UMDS2 file and I can’t attach it. I also can’t open it to copy and paste it into this message

Yeah, just copy and paste it.

Yeah I can’t as I can’t open the file.
I will try and just type it out later or take some screen grabs

Thanks For looking through the configuration Jez I will try that.
Do you think I need to make any other changes based on the fact that FR told me the motor is limited to 90 amps when using a 12s battery, so 4000W
Such as max batter my draw etc which I think at the moment are set at 150 amps
