HI guys nice to be part of this world my name it’s Luigi, I’m from Italy and I’m a wingfoiler from 4 years.
I build 3 board in the last 3 years and now I’m looking for build a tow board, and I’m asking you some help for doing it better.
my ideas after saw your work on few topic is:
Flipsky 6384 140 kv motor
Flipsky 75200 pro v2 esc
and Vx3 remote and receiver kit
would you recommended that or there are better choice?
For the battery could I use a pair of 6s to reach 12s round 6000 mah or you have an alternative solution?
For last if my configurations it’s well I can assemble all my components and pairing the remote or something need to be programmed??
Be patient if I wrote something stupid but this program it’s new for me
Many thanks at all
Nobody’s could help me???
Hi @Casch83, I think by “tow board” you are meaning that you want to make a “tow boogie”? that’s the general term I have seen used the most on the forum. IF you seach the forum for “boogie” I’m sure you will find lots of discussion and previous work
Your Flipsky components list should work fine. Note that the Flipsky 75200 is a vesc based esc and it does need to be programmed with VESCtool to function properly. Here is an excellent Youtube video that covers this that I and many others found helpful for this process.
I think 12s or 14s battery would be good, but two 6aH batteries would be far too small, you would run out of power very quickly. I think you would need to be in the 20-40ah range. Even 20ah is small for this application but some might be okay with it depending on how they use the tow boogie. Tow boogies are closer to efoil than to a foil assist.
