No weld battery packs?

Hi all,
did anyone tried a no weld 6S2P battery pack for foil assist?
(I will use two ot them in series for a 12S2P configuration.)
Thanks

Spotwelding is required. You cannot build a safe/reliable/high current pack without. Spring connections arent made for high currents, and soldering is not reccomended for cylindrical cells.

Never tested it, but I’ve seen this on a DIY eBike.
Side note: It does look heavy

Interesting product. I see they have a 21700 ver under development.

These guys have an interesting solution: maki-batteries.com
Here a short video: https://youtu.be/IkpiUK06Ixw?si=h8yT9uQ4jJjrS417

They use it for a motorcycle battery.

There is also a no-weld pack design available from Trampa:

It’s been available for a few years. Haven’t heard of anyone trying it for efoil but it is an appropriate size for that application. If it can handle the vibration and violence of an esk8 board it can probably handle efoil, provided there is adequate waterproofing.
